This evening, MangaGamer announced that they’re bringing two very high-profile visual novels—Kara no Shoujo 2 and Cartagra—to the west, at a panel at Anime Expo. Prior to that, however, they’re going to be adding voices to the original Kara no Shoujo.

As you may recall, when MangaGamer localized Kara no Shoujo in 2011, they released the game without its voicework included, citing licensing difficulties. Now, however, they’re officially adding the voices back into the game.

If you already own Kara no Shoujo, you’ll be able purchase the voice patch for $5. According to MangaGamer, “Please note that part of these small sales will return to [developer] Innocent Grey for helping us out in making this happen, and bringing us these great titles how they were meant to be.”

The voice patch is currently undergoing final beta-testing, MangaGamer shared with us.

Additionally, MangaGamer will also be releasing limited edition hard copies of Kara no Shoujo. These, too, will contain voices. Further details on the hard copy edition of the game will be announced at a later date.
