Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom Gets Ship Date, New Screens

If you haven’t been keeping track, Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is an upcoming action-adventure title for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, developed by Game Republic and published by Namco Bandai.

 

Forsaken Kingdom is a mix of combat and puzzle-solving, with a focus on cooperative gameplay between two ingame characters. You play the role of a character teamed up with an Ogre named “the Majin”. You don’t have any direct control over the Majin but can issue orders to him. Due to his strength and your character’s lightweight agility, a good portion of the game would appear to involve working together to bypass puzzles and overwhelming odds in battle.

 

Design and aesthetic comparisons have been drawn between Forsaken Kingdom and Zelda and Ico — not surprising, considering that certain members of Game Republic’s development team were responsible for working on both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

 

Namco announced a release date for Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom in time for Comic-Con. The game will be released in North America on November 30th. Here’s a few screenshots:
