A new Magician’s Quest game is headed to the Nintendo 3DS next month. Magician’s Quest: Town of Magic, is slated for a 3DS release in December, and Konami shared the first screenshots of the game this morning. You can view these below.

The Magician’s Quest games take place at a magic academy where you attend as an apprentice wizard, solve problems, interact with other residents, and so on. The only game in the series that has been localized thus far is Magician’s Quest: Mysterious Times.

As previously reported, Town of Magic will feature a new town and new townsfolk. The town will feature a large shopping mall for residents to visit, and you can open up your own shop up there as well.

Magician’s Quest: Town of Magic will be released on December 20th for 4,980 yen in Japan.

Food for thought:

That’s a lot of life-simulation games released for the 3DS this year. By the end of the year, Japan will have: Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, Rune Factory 4, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Fantasy Life and Magician’s Quest: Town of Magic.
