The Luocha character trailer hints at his past with several shots of the mysterious casket he carries around with him. Though he says that the person inside of it is of no importance to him, it sure does not seem that way in the trailer. That’s not the only odd thing about him. He’s a traveling merchant, but there are some suspicious elements to his story, such as in Tingyun pointing out that he’s not in the Whistling Flames’ records. Despite his promises that he has no interest in illegally researching immortality, he obviously has something to do with it because he’s on the Path of Abundance. We might get more answers about all these questions in either his character stories or when the main story picks up again.

Luocha’s English voice actor is Craig Lee Thomas and his Japanese actor is Akira Ishida. Thomas previously appeared as Elvis on Jane the Virgin. His voice actor roles include Harvey in Octopath Traveler II and Sturm in Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. Ishida is a prominent Japanese voice actor who has appeared in a wide variety of properties. You may have heard him as Gaara in Naruto, Ayato in Genshin Impact, and Kaworu in Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PC. PS4 and PS5 versions are in development. Luocha will appear in Honkai: Star Rail on June 28, 2023.
