Lumines Is Coming To Smartphones, Also Tetsuya Mizuguchi Is Making Games Again

Rez and Lumines creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi founded Q? Entertainment in Japan. Q? Entertainment may be best known in the West for their music titles, but they also release free to play games like Angel Online in Japan and are the developers behind Destiny of Spirits.

Mizuguchi took a break from making games, but he is getting back into production with a new studio, Enhance Games, which is located in California.

 

Mobcast, a Japanese developer that makes smartphone games including a mobile version of Nobunaga’s Ambition, has acquired the rights to Lumines and Meteos. A new Lumines game for smartphones is in development. The last game in the series, Lumines: Electronic Symphony, was a PlayStation Vita launch title.
