Gomibako (aka Trash Box in Asia) was made differently from your average PS3 game. The trash compacting game was developed at PlayStation C.A.M.P., a program Sony created to search for new game designers. Earlier this month, Gomibako found its way onto PSN in Japan and Asia where it was already translated into English.

Sony Computer Entertainment America and Europe have not announced it, but chances are we’re getting Trash Box here too under a new name. I searched the USPTO and came up with a trademark for Trash Panic registered by Sony Computer Entertainment. Trash Panic sounds like it’s related to Trash Box, a literal translation of Gomibako. Unless Sony Computer Entertainment has two trash tossing games in development this trademark is related to the PlayStation C.A.M.P. project.
