For the first time in Japan, Take Two Interactive is publishing a Bioshock game. Before Bioshock Infinite, Way of the Samurai maker Spike published the first game and somehow D3Publisher got Bioshock 2. Since Bioshock Infinite is being localized for Japan in-house, Take Two dubbed the game in Japanese. Let’s see what Booker sounds like in another language.
Unlike Tomb Raider, the Japanese release of Bioshock Infinite gives players an option to switch between English or Japanese voiceovers at no extra cost. Take Two didn’t skimp on the voice actors and hired Miyuki Sawashiro who voices Millia in Tales of Xillia and Romi Park who is Naoto in Persona 4.
Booker DeWitt – Keiji Fujiwara (Gabriel in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Axel in Kingdom Hearts)
Elizabeth – Miyuki Sawashiro (Elizabeth in Persona 3, Millia in Tales of Xillia)
Daisy Fitzroy – Romi Park (Naoto in Persona 4, Yuri in Infinite Space)
Cornelius Slate – Takayuki Sugo (Boris in Metal Gear Rising)
Zachary Hale Comstock – Nobuo Tobita (Vayne in Final Fantasy XII)
