I saw DJ Max Portable: Clazziquai Edition over the weekend and the song list hasn’t really been discussed so I took some notes from arcade mode. As the subtitle suggests Korean fusion group Clazziquai headlines the list of licensed music. Pentavision picked up other Korean artists too like 3rd Coast and 015B. There is this trend of publishers shoving licensed music that doesn’t fit in to attract a new audience, but Clazziquai’s jazzy house tracks meld with the DJ Max series well. The result makes DJ Max Portable: Clazziquai Edition more lounge-y than DJ Max Portable 2. Also if you weren’t aware Pentavision made the game tri-lingual. You can play DJ Max Portable: Clazziquai Edition in Korean, Japanese or English. I think I’m going to bite and pick this one up while I’m waiting for DJ Max Fever.
Here’s the song list I jotted down. It’s NOT the full list, just notes with some YouTube videos so you can get a better idea of what’s in the game.
