Elphelt Valentine made her playable debut as a post-release character in the 2014 entry Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign-. Bandai Namco, which handles Guilty Gear Strive‘s releases in Asia and Europe, unveiled Elphelt’s addition to the roster. Players can immediately purchase access to the DLC character since December 8, 2023. She appears as the 26th character in the overall roster and the second one in Season Pass 3, which started with Johnny in August 2023.

The Starter Guide video that Arc System Works published on Elphelt’s release date shows that she has a very different playing style from the Xrd sub-series, where she could snipe her opponents from afar. Although she still fights with firearms, Arc System Works brought her a new “Chain Lollipop” chain combo system that plays similarly to Noel Vermillion in the BlazBlue series.

Guilty Gear Strive is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Elphelt Valentine is immediately available as a new DLC character, and her Strive theme song “Extras” is also available to listen to on digital music platforms.
