Nintendo will bring us Rhythm Heaven in April, but in Japan it’s old hat. That leaves room for Alphaunit to make a beat tapping game of their own. Like Nintendo’s game Rhythm De Run Run Run is wacky.
In one level you help a kid chase a moving port-a-potty before his bladder bursts. Another stage takes place in a hurdles races where you leap over penguins and fish. Alphaunit calls Rhythm De Run Run Run a scrolling style rhythm action game which sounds about right. Let’s watch some clips of these scenarios.
The neat thing about Rhythm De Run Run Run is you can control it with the microphone. Use a plastic mallet or your cat to play the game. As long as you keep the rhythm steady Rhythm De Run Run Run keeps running. Now for a set of demonstration videos…
Cool, right? Alphaunit insists we remember the release date so if you didn’t catch it from the clips Rhythm De Run Run Run comes out in Japan on April 4. There is one other stage not shown in any of the videos that I’m curious about. One screenshot shows a level reminiscent of an 8-bit RPG!
