Time Travelers takes place on April 28, 2031 and follows an ensemble cast of characters when a crisis hits Tokyo. There are five viewpoints players switch between like a high school girl, a reporter, and a college dropout turned costume hero. The game, at least from what we played, felt like a visual novel. Perhaps, similar to director Jiro Ishii’s critically acclaimed Wii game 428.
Level-5 announced Time Travelers will be available on July 12 and on three platforms: Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, and PSP. A retail copy costs 5,980 yen ($75). PSP and Vita will also get a downloadable release which costs 4,980 yen ($62).
Siliconera tried Time Traveler’s at Level-5’s Vision conference and you can read our impressions here. A demo of Time Travelers will be distributed with Guild 01, Level-5’s collection of 3DS games made by four different creators.
