If you aren’t familiar with Level 5’s annual “Vision” event by now, it’s where the company details its plans for the year ahead, accompanied by a presentation hosted by their CEO, Akihiro Hino.
Vision 2010, held last year, was big news all around, as Level 5 announced a whole slew of Nintendo 3DS titles, such as Time Travellers, Fantasy Life and Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney. While ten titles were discussed in total at Vision 2010, this year’s event sounds like it might be even bigger.
Speaking with Nikkei Trendy Net, Hino revealed that this year’s Vision event will be held “around August.” Level 5 plan to talk about around 20 titles at Vision 2011. Hino also promised that one could expect to see some sort of a “surprise announcement” that reaches outside the boundaries of the games industry.
Nikkei Trendy’s interviewer asked if this meant something like Level 5’s collaboration with Studio Ghibli on Ni no Kuni, and Hino replied, yes, something of that sort.
