In addition to Dragon Quest IX and the English version of White Knight Chronicles, Level 5 self publishes games. Soccer RPG series Inazuma Eleven is a hot property with a game, manga, and anime series airing in Japan. Inazuma Eleven 2: The Threat of the Invaders, the sequel scheduled for release on October 1, features an aliens. You fend them off… with mini soccer matches? That’s how the first game worked.
Level 5 also set dates for games in their Atamania series. Similar to the Professor Layton series Atamania games are a bunch of brain teasers wrapped with a story. Sloane and MacHale’s Puzzling Story kicks the Atamania series off on May 21. Two games with puzzles designed by Akira Tago (he also constructed the Layton puzzles) will arrive a month later. Akira Tago’s Mental Gymnastics Volume 1: Puzzle Solving Around the World and Akira Tago’s Mental Gymnastics Volume 2: Puzzle Solving Around the Galaxy Adventure are both scheduled to come out on June 18.
Now which publisher is going to call Level 5 and set up an agreement? Level 5 has a ton of stuff to localize.
