Moss is self publishing Raiden IV in Japan and they probably don’t have a huge marketing budget to promote it. Their grassroots strategy involves episodes of Raiden Tube posted on their blog. The first episode is up and it shows an “ordinary” girl trying Raiden IV.

She’s not bad at all, but I think Nanaho, the player, is well versed in shmups. The profile on the developer’s blog says she likes guys who are “skillful at shooting games” and her motto is “shooting love <3”. Models playing games is nothing new, but I’m confused at Moss’ message. Are they trying to suggest any ordinary person can ace Raiden IV? Or are they trying to coax gamers to trying shmups so they can find a girlfriend? I translated the profile below just in case anyone is interested.
