A new Lego game has been announced. Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is coming to all major consoles this year. While only a teaser trailer has been provided so far, a full length trailer will be released on May 23, 2017.
In Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, Kang the Conqueror seems to be the main baddie. He is time traveling to different iconic periods and locations in the Marvel timeline. This means you’ll need to use famous heroes and villains to thwart his plans in 2099 New York, Ancient Egypt, Sakaar, and the Old West. Up to four players can play cooperatively or competitively together.
This first Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 teaser is only fifteen seconds long, but it does show us a few characters that will be in the sequel. It begins with young Groot running away from some explosions. If you pause around the two second mark, you’ll see Green Goblin is the one chasing him. We then see the logo, with Doctor Strange adding the “2” to Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2. The press release notes that Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Cowboy Captain America, Hulk, Spider-Man 2099, Thor, and the Guardians of the Galaxy will be around.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 14, 2017. It will come to the Nintendo Switch during the 2017 holiday season.
