Lego Dimensions’ Sonic The Hedgehog Level Looks A Lot Like Classic Sonic

Lego Dimensions has a number of cross-over packs, some of them even video game related. So far, the Portal 2 and Midway Retro Gamer Level Packs have been the only ones to bring games into the game, but Sonic the Hedgehog is on his way as well. Ahead of the Sonic the Hedgehog Level Pack’s launch this month, Doug Heder, producer at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, stopped by LIVE with YouTube Gaming to show off about three minutes of the pack’s level.

The Sonic the Hedgehog Level Pack footage begins at the six minute mark with the Sega Genesis start up screen. We then see the Lego version of Sonic appearing in the classic logo, before heading into the level. The fixed camera angle from the original 2D games is preserved in this portion of the level, and Sonic has spin dash attack. Other characters can appear in the level, with Gizmo and E.T. shown as two examples.

Lego Dimensions is available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Nintendo Wii U. The Sonic the Hedgehog Level Pack will be released on November 18, 2016.
