Lawson Convenience Stores Show A Lot Of Love For Taiko No Tatsujin

Taiko no Tatsujin has all kinds of tie-ups in Japan. Wada-don, the iconic drum character, worked with Dragon Quest, Mario, Monster Hunter, and so many Japanese pop songs.

In June, the little drum will be working at Lawson, a chain of Japanese convenience stores. He won’t scan your Suica card, but Lawson stores will be wrapped in Wada-don decorations as a crossover promotion for Taiko no Tatsujin Portable DX.

 

Stop by and you can get a download card that unlocks the song "Smoky Thrill" from The Idolm@ster 2 and Lawson costume set for Wada-don. Namco Bandai has not announced any plans to release these items elsewhere, but it’s likely that the song will eventually be downloadable content.

 

Taiko no Tatsujin Portable DX comes out on July 14 in Japan.
