Agetec sent an e-mail officially announcing LOL, a localized version of a Skip published game Archime DS. Skip created Chibi-Robo and the cheerful, but woefully lost in translation (read: never been localized) Giftpia. LOL sticks to Skip’s light hearted tone and it challenges players to write humorous responses to each other via local wireless play. Unlike other Nintendo DS games LOL must be played with at least one other person. Not including a single player mode is a serious gambit, but up to four people can play LOL with a single cartridge. Too bad Nintendo Wi-Fi play wasn’t added in the North American version.
Between picking up Fire Pro Wrestling and localizing LOL Agetec is really gambling with their line up. Let’s hope these acquisitions pay off for them.
