Sony spent about eight minutes at the PlayStation Media Briefing during this year’s Paris Games Week to show what it will be like for players to help Aloy hunt the giant, mechanized beasts wandering the wilderness. While briefly showing the experience and stealth systems, the focus was on watching the character take down a giant dinosaur at the end.
Horizon Zero Dawn is set about 1,000 years in the future after the apocalypse. Aloy needs to explore her open world to find and take down these mechanized monsters in search of resources that will help her craft additional tools and survive. While the primary battle in the Paris Games Week trailer shows a larger and longer fight against a large opponent, there will be shorter fights and even stealth takedowns in the full game.
Horizon Zero Dawn will come to the PlayStation 4 in 2016.
