Capcom worked with another rock star for a Devil May Cry 5 song. Hyde, who’s appeared in both L’arc en Ciel and Vamps, prepared “Defeat.” You can hear it running over the latest gameplay video for Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, which tends to focus on Vergil gameplay. (Though, we also get to see Dante, Nero, Nico, Lady, Trish, and V too.)

Here’s Hyde’s “Defeat.”

Hyde’s music, or at the very least his vocals, should sound familiar. His songs have been used with games before. For example, L’arc en Ciel’s “Spirit Dreams Inside” is one of the theme songs for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. “Ready Steady Go” was used as a Fullmetal Alchemist opening theme. (It also appeared in Daigasso! Band Brothers and Ouendan.)

More notably, Hyde’s “Mad Qualia” was used as a Japanese Devil May Cry 5 image song to promote the game. In case you missed it, here’s the English version of it.

As for other Devil May Cry 5 songs, there’ll be plenty of ways to hear and listen to them. The Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition Vergil Sound Selection will appear in Japan. Capcom shared the lyrics for Vergil’s “Bury the Light” theme too.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will come to the Xbox Series X on November 10, 2020 and the PlayStation 5 on November 12, 2020 in Australia, Japan, North America, and South Korea and on November 19, 2020 in other regions.
