Last Closed Genshin Impact Beta Will Involve Cross Platform Play

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

A final closed Genshin Impact beta has been announced, and it might just be testing the game’s most ambitious feature. When it launches, it will show up on the PlayStation 4, PCs, Android devices, and Apple iOS devices. To prepare for that and the eventual cross platform play, this last Q3 2020 test will look at how the game and cross-play perform on the PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile devices.

To participate, people must log in and sign up at the official website. A whole new registration form is available to fill out. Those chosen will be emailed. This last Genshin Impact beta will be available in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, both Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese, with Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean voice acting. The beta will be entirely free to play and there is no confidentiality agreement, but progress will not be carried over to the final build.

The last Genshin Impact beta test was held earlier in 2020 and lasted three weeks. After it ended, Hugh Tsai, the miHoYo producer for the title, made sure to clarify that it will be a free-to-play game that could be completely enjoyed alone and will have plenty of support after launch.

Genshin Impact will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile devices in 2020. The next closed Genshin Impact beta test will be held in Q3 2020. To prepare, you can always watch its opening cutscene again.
