Over the past few years, Kotobukiya has been releasing many figures of Pokemon protagonists and other trainers as part of the ARTFX lineup. Today, they revealed that Gloria (female protagonist for Pokemon Sword and Shield; Yuuri in Japanese) will be the next character to get the figure treatment.
Every figure in the lineup has a trainer as well as a partner Pokemon (such as Dawn and Piplup), and for this figure, Gloria is accompanied by Sobble (named Messon in Japanese) as her starter Pokemon. The illustration seen above that the figure is based on has been illustrated by Hitoshi Ariga, same as other figures in the Pokemon ARTFX line.
As the figure has just entered production, it’ll be a while off before the figure will come out for real. Other figures that are currently available include Leaf and Squirtle, Rosa and Snivy, Hilda and Tepig, and more. While most of the figures are of female trainers in the series, there is also Red and Pikachu, Green and Eevee, Professor Oak and Bulbasaur, as well as Ethan and Cyndaquil on the male trainer side.
Pokemon Sword and Shield are available on Nintendo Switch. No release date has been given for the Gloria and Sobble figure.
