Konami are starting an anime distribution service on the PlayStation Network for anime series based on their core franchises in Japan, the company revealed earlier this week. The first series to be rolled out via the service will Tokimeki Memorial OnlyLove .

OnlyLove is about a girl named Riku Aoba, a recent transfer student to the private Tsumugino High School. Individual episodes will be available for 250 yen (about $3.00). Other series that will be offered via Konami’s service are Quiz Magic Academy -Original Animation-, Skygirls, Saint October, Fairy Musketeers and Best Student Council.

While each episode of OnlyLove will be priced at 250 yen, Konami revealed that the other shows could be anywhere between 200 – 300 yen per episode. Anyone interested in subscribing to this will want to note that the distribution service is based on a rental method. From Konami’s announcement:

Contents can be viewed for a limited time by rental method from the PlayStation®Store. Contents can be viewed any time within 30 days from purchase and up to 72 hours from the first time that it is played. Contents downloaded via PS3® (excluding some titles) can also be played on PSP® that has been authenticated with the same account.
