Update: The Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley says he spoke to Kojima Productions’ Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi about the teaser, and that Imaizumi stated that the teaser was not for Metal Gear Rising 2. Imaizumi later tweeted that the teaser was from Sony Computer Entertainment, and that he didn’t know what it was for.

Original story: Konami like to be sneaky with new title teasers, and they may have teased one earlier this weekend during the Taipei Game Show. Fans got a glimpse of a “2” shown during a live stream at the event, and it looks quite a lot like a Metal Gear Rising 2 teaser.

While Konami have yet to make an official announcement for what appears to be Metal Gear Rising 2, the above image showing the “2” was briefly flashed during the stream for upcoming PlayStation 4 titles, which you can see for yourself at the 2:46:40 mark of the video, here.

The above is a look at the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance logo, and when you look at it side-by-side with the “2” that was shown for a split second, their style and font seem to match up. You be the judge.

To make things even sneakier from Konami, they perfectly placed the “2” during a trailer for The Order 1886, when one of the characters was shown doing a little countdown, and it was revealed just as he said the number two.

If it was in fact a teaser for a sequel the hack-and-slash action title where Raiden faced off against countless cyborg soldiers and UGs, we’ll likely hear something Konami or Sony in the near future.
