Konami Announces Arcade Classics, Contra, And Castlevania Anniversary Collections

Konami has revealed it will release three different game collections for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. People will be able to get the Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics, Castlevania Anniversary Collection, and Contra Anniversary Collection in 2019. All three will be digital compilations of classic games, with a hub website open to begin offering information on each one.

 

Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics is the first compilation. It will feature eight arcade games and an ebook with developer interviews, design documents, concept art, and musical scores. It will show up on April 18, 2019 for $19.99.

 

Here is the list of Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics games:

  • A-Jax (Typhoon)
  • Gradius (Nemesis)
  • Gradius II (Vulcan Venture)
  • Haunted Castle
  • Life Force (Salamander)
  • Scramble
  • Thunder Cross
  • TwinBee

Castlevania Anniversary Collection will be Konami’s second compilation release. It will appear in early Summer 2019 and will similarly contain eight games from the series and an ebook with behind-the-scenes information leading to their development.

 

Here is the list of Castlevania Anniversary Collection titles revealed so far:

  • Castlevania (NES)
  • Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge (Game Boy)
  • Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse (NES)
  • Super Castlevania IV (SNES)

 

Finally, Contra Anniversary Collection will also appear in early Summer 2019. It will have eight games too, though only four have been revealed so far, and get a digital bonus book.

 

Here is the list of Contra Anniversary Collection games announced at the moment:

  • Contra (Arcade)
  • Contra III: The Alien Wars (SNES)
  • Super C (NES)
  • Super Contra (Arcade)

 

Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics, Castlevania Anniversary Collection, and Contra Anniversary Collection are all in development for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics arriving first on April 18, 2019.
