KOF XV Dolores Can Apparently ‘Fight at Any Range’

There are new details about how Dolores, one of the newest The King of Fighters playable characters, will work in KOF XV. SNK Character Designer Tomohiro Nakata shared concept art and details about her moveset. Among the reveals include details about how her moveset lets her “fight at any range.” She is also supposedly “actually very easy to use.”

Here’s Nakata’s full statement about Dolores from Twitter. It also brings up how she’s on Team Rival with Heidern and Isla.

Dolores is KOF XV’s second new character and fights with holy earth.

She’s beautiful, cool, and mysterious. These were the goals we had in mind when designing this mature female fighter.

In KOF XV, Dolores is teamed up with Isla and Heidern (!), but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. What is her relation to her teammates? Why did she enter KOF?

More about her past will be divulged so stay tuned!

Alright, now on to business. Her attacks are visually quite unique, but she’s actually very easy to use. You can choose the position of your projectiles at will, allowing her to fight at any range.

At close range, she can use a command grab on opponents stuck guarding her attacks!

She has strong normals, and the reach/startup for her jump CD, far heavy kicks, and crouching heavy kicks/punches makes her a massive threat to her opponents.

I hope everyone sets out for glory with Dolores’ Sacred Earth Arts!

People will be able to see for themselves how Dolores works in KOF XV. She will be one of the playable characters during the open beta. That will run November 19-22, 2021.

KOF XV will appear on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on February 17, 2022. An open beta will be held on the PS4 and PS5 in November 2021.
