While Bandai Namco may assign the same role to several characters, each of them will still have their own playing style. For instance, both Klein and Lisbeth will appear in Fractured Daydream as Fighters. However, Klein will have four fighting styles based on the four kanji letters in his guild (Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain), while Lisbeth can instead craft and upgrade weapons mid-stage. Meanwhile, Silica will appear with a Supporting role as she can heal allies while giving orders to her pet dragon Pina.

The company also added that it will gradually publish trailers for each character on a daily basis. As of July 29, 2024, it has uploaded Lisbeth’s trailer. The other trailers that feature Klein and Silica will follow suit in the coming days.

Fractured Daydream will feature a large roster of Sword Art Online characters, starting with the series’ protagonist Kirito and the heroine Asuna. Bandai Namco had previously confirmed the inclusions of Yuuki, Yuna, and Eiji, as well as Gun Gale Online‘s LLENN and Fukaziroh.

Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 4, 2024.
