Nintendo’s first Wii U release next year will be Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. The claymation style Kirby game has 28 stages in the main story and over 40 stages in challenge mode. Kirby can transform into different vehicles like the Kirby Submarine and Kirby Rocket. Gameplay is similar to the Nintendo DS game Kirby and the Canvas Curse with the addition of four player co-op.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is compatible with amiibo figures from the Kirby series. The Kirby amiibo gives you unlimited star dash power. A Meta Knight amiibo gives Kirby a mask and increases his attack power. Use the King Dedede amiibo to increase Kirby’s life from four to six.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is scheduled to come out on January 22 in Japan and February 13 in North America. The game is priced at 3,700 yen in Japan, which is less than the average Wii U game and the same price as Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
