The Kingdoms of Amalur remaster has a weird sort of announcement. It started out as a leak from a Microsoft Store product listing. THQ Nordic then officially confirmed that yes, it was among the properties it was reviving. It didn’t have a release date, but said the game and its old DLC would be back. Now, we know Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning will be on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 8, 2020 and be followed by a new Fatesworn expansion in 2021.
In fact, the latest trailer deals exclusively with this Kingdoms of Amalur remaster-exclusive add-on. The brief video clip sets the stage for the potential Fatesworn expansion and shows a Fateless One heroine fighting intimidating foes before having to attack a portal leaking even more of them into the world.
The original game only had two major expansions. The Legend of Dead Kel and Teeth of Naros each added new places for players to visit, like Gallows End and Teeth of Naros, new enemies, new questlines, and new equipment.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will show up on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 8, 2020. The Fatesworn expansion will be released in 2021.
