A free demo for Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will be in October 2020. This information was revealed at the tail end of the Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory broadcast.

The contents of the free demo have not yet been disclosed, only the approximate estimation of when it will release.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory was recently confirmed to have multiplayer. Up to eight people will be able to compete in the Friend Versus Mode. Players will battle it out to receive the best score on the selected stage. Double Play Mode will also be available. This mode involves two players engaging in cooperative play to complete stages.

No information about whether or not either multiplayer mode will be part of the upcoming free demo for Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory has been released.

Melody of Memory will boast 140 stages and a plethora of songs from various installments of the Kingdom Hearts series. In an interview with Famitsu, Nomura mentioned that there will be no DLC for the upcoming rhythm game.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will be available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 11, 2020 in Japan and on November 13, 2020 in North America and Europe.
