Square Enix shared the latest on Kingdom Hearts III at TGS 2018, where we got a look at some brand-new footage showing the Aqua boss fight as well as some talk from Tetsuya Nomura. [Thanks, Gamestalk.]

You can catch a glimpse of the Sora vs. Aqua boss fight below:

Here are some highlights from the stage event:

  • Kingdom Hearts III will conclude the Xehanort Saga,, but Nomura says it isn’t the end of Kingdom Hearts. He also added that he wants to continue Sora’s story.

  • The Kingdom Hearts III Gummi Ship part was made by a team of 20 to 30 people just for the feature. There are two types of modes with Exploration Mode and Cardboard Mode. Exploration Mode is an open-world style that has a vast space to freely explore. Gummi Ship parts will appear as cardboard, gems, sweets, and such.

  • There are over 20 mini-games.

  • Yes, there will be a secret movie, but in order to prevent spoilers the team is thinking of a different way to put it in. Rather than making the requirements harder to watch the movie, they’re thinking about releasing it later as a later DLC, or something along those lines.

  • As for online elements, the team will consider it after wrapping up the main game. From there they’ll look through proposals.

  • Here are the character ages:
    • Terra: About 20 years old
    • Aqua: About 18 years old
    • Ventus: About 16 years old
    • Young Xehanort: About 18~20 years old
    • Master Xehanot: Mid-80s

Lastly, here’s a look at some more footage shown during the event:
