Kid Niki And Hammerin’ Harry Aren’t On Virtual Console, But Are Coming To 3DS

Irem has an interesting way of handling their classics. Instead of releasing them as Virtual Console downloads like most Japanese publishers, Irem is bundling retro games with their pachislot simulators.

Pachipara 3D: Premium Beach Story has Irem Collection 3 as a bonus. This retro bundle has three games – Image Fight, Kid Niki (known in Japan as Kaiketsu Yancha Maru), and Hammerin Harry. Kid Niki and Hammerin’ Harry have not been released on Virtual Console and if this i the Famicom version of Image Fight that’s new too.

If Irem really digs through their library maybe we’ll see Super Nintendo games like Dinocity or Rocky Rodent, Irem’s answer to Sonic the Hedgehog, in the future.
