Midori Asakusa, a main character from Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, has been appointed as the first tourism ambassador for Miho Village. This collaboration highlights the character’s connection to the series, which focuses on the experiences of young indie animation creators. The appointment took place on February 3, 2024, coinciding with Asakusa’s birthday at the Abandoned Landscape Symposium, where Sumito Owara, the original mangaka, was present.

Asakusa, the new ambassador of Miho Village and lead artist for the Eizouken or “animation research club,” is recognized for her vibrant imagination and dedication to animation. Her ole was announced after the success of the series, which includes scenes set in locations significant to Miho Village, such as the Kashima Naval Air Corps and Oyama Lake Park. The village plans to implement various collaborations featuring Asakusa in the near future.
