Kamen Rider Black Sun is a reboot of the original 1987 tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Black. The story follows stepbrothers Kohtaro Minami and Nobuhiko Akizuki who both become Kamen Rider Black Sun and Shadow Moon, respectively. Kamen Rider Black was one of the most popular shows of its time, and received a manga adaptation as well as a direct sequel.

Toei and Ishimori Productions co-announced the series reboot in April 2021. Since then, Toei has released various images of Kamen Rider Black Sun’s design. These latest screenshots reveal the design of Shadow Moon for the first time, as well as images of the Black Sun’s Road Sector.

Kamen Rider Black Sun will release sometime in 2022. There is no confirmation of streaming platforms or a Western release.
