Amazon Prime Video JP has uploaded a new trailer for the upcoming Kamen Rider: Black Sun. It will air exclusively on Amazon Prime from October 28, 2022. This show was made in commemoration for the 50th anniversary of the Kamen Rider franchise. In the trailer, we can see the new actors for the titular Black Sun and his friends.
The trailer introduces us to the three main characters Aoi Izumi is a young activist calling for equal rights between humans and Kaijin. The two Kamen Riders are Kamen Rider Black Sun (Kotaro Minami) and Kamen Rider Shadow Moon (Nobuhiko Akizuki). The two of them have a shared past and are both candidates to become the next Creation King.
The actors and actress portraying the main trio are:
- Kotaro Minami: Hidetoshi Nishijima (What Did You Eat Yesterday?, Aircraft Carrier Ibuki)
- Nobuhiko Akizuki: Tomoya Nakamura (Gourmet Detective Goro Akechi, Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan)
- Aoi Izumi: Kokoro Hirasawa (Super Radical Gag Family, Marumaru Tsuma)

Toei first announced lack Sun in 2021. It is a “reboot” for Kamen Rider Black, which originally aired in 1987. It is unknown just how much of Black Sun’s story will follow that of Black. In Black Sun, humans and Kaijin coexist, but Kaijin often face persecution. On top of that, a mysterious figure is going around turning people into Kaijin.
Kamen Rider Black Sun will debut in Japan on Amazon Prime from October 28, 2022.
