Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 Announced for 2025

The highly anticipated season 2 of Kaiju No. 8 has been officially announced, with a release set for 2025. The announcement was made via the official Kaiju No. 8 Twitter account, featuring a promotional video (PV) that showcases scenes from the first season and confirms an upcoming continuation of the series.

In addition to the second season, the PV also revealed that a new original episode titled Hoshina’s Day-off is in production. This episode will likely explore the daily life of vice-captain Soshiro Hoshina. Furthermore, a compilation of the first season is also being produced, allowing newcomers to relive key moments from the initial episodes before diving into the new season.

Kaiju no 8’s anime is Based on Naoya Matsumoto’s manga serialized in Shonen Jump, it follows a man named Kafka with the ability to transform into a Kaiju. The anime’s first season began airing in April 2024 and concluded on July 13th 2024.

In related news, Akatsuki Games and Toho announced Kaiju No 8: The Game, a free-to-play adaptation of the anime and manga for mobile devices and PCs. The release date has yet to be announced. The Kaiju No 8 anime is currently available on Crunchyroll, and the manga is handled outside Japan by Viz Media.
