Kabu Trader Shun: stock trading just got more fun

This article is over 17 years old and may contain outdated information

There isn’t anything more exhilarating and heart wrenching in the same second than the stock market. I know you’re thinking CNBC is all numbers and charts, but Kabu Trader Shun (Stock Trader Shun) might change your mind. Capcom has been developing their stock market game and it is scheduled to come out on June 7, 2007 in Japan. See the character on the left? That’s Shun Aiba, the star of the game and the son of a trader. When he was 13 his father lost his money and vanished. At the age of 18 Shun is called up by his father’s former partner, Toru Narasaki, who wants to help Shun get into the stock market. In the game you have to trade alone and go through versus trade against Hanako Kirikagura, Toru other student. There is a new trailer over on the official site (click on the bottom right button that says “movie” with a blinking new icon over it) that doesn’t reveal too much except introduce the characters and show charts rising and falling. Considering that Capcom did a superb job making the courtroom entertaining, I have high (possibly too high) hopes for Kabu Trader Shun. What do you think?
