The Jujutsu Kaisen anime series will be included in the Guinness World Records 2025 book as the most popular animation series in the world. The 2025 edition of the book will be released worldwide on September 10, 2024.
The specific record title is “Most in-demand animated TV show in the World,” and it includes all animated TV series, not only Japanese animation. The record was achieved over the course of 2023, and it came into effect on January 16, 2024. However, both the Japanese and English official X (formerly Twitter) accounts for the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series announced the series’ inclusion in the Guinness World Records 2025 earlier on April 17, 2024.
Furthermore, the Guinness World Records official website and Parrot Analytics recently announced that Jujutsu Kaisen has officially surpassed One Piece and Attack on Titan in popularity. This happened when the anime series achieved a renewed peak in popularity shortly after the release of its second season on July 6, 2024, and after the premiere of the Attack on Titan anime series finale on November 19, 2023.
The Jujutsu Kaisen anime series has two seasons and is now available to stream on Crunchyroll. Viz Media handles the localization and publishing of the manga.
