Gear up for the second half of the first season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime with its latest trailer. The video features the new opening theme song, “Who-ya Extended” by Vivid Vice. The anime’s second season will begin airing in Japan on January 15, 2021. Crunchyroll owns the rights to stream the show outside of Asia. (Editor’s note: Our apologies, as this is for the second half of the first season.)
Produced by MAPPA and directed by Sunghoo Park, the Jujutsu Kaisen anime is naturally an adaptation of the manga. Following the success of the first season’s 24 episodes, the second half of the first season is just around the corner. Crunchyroll debuted an English dub of the first season back in November 2020, just one month after the first season’s Japanese premiere.
The new teaser for the anime shows students from schools in Tokyo and Kyoto in an intense battle. The trailer also gives fans their first chance to hear the new, high-tempo opening theme song.
The Jujutsu Kaisen anime is a Shonen Jump series that takes place in a world where Cursed Spirits feed on humans. The school of Jujutsu Shamans then protects the living from demons and supernatural creatures. Viz Media publishes the manga in English. There was some unfortunate news regarding a former translator of the series recently. However, it continues to grow in popularity in the West.
