We’re going to try something special next week, everyone. Following some of Siliconera’s recent Splatoon coverage, there were requests in the comment section asking about a community game night. So, we’re going to see if we can make that happen and work.

On August 24, from 7-9pm CT, I will play host to a Siliconera Private Battle room. Battles will be standard Turf War, with random team assignments and maps. My NNID is JMariye and I will add as many people as my friend list will allow. When you add me as a friend, include the name you use in the comment section and note that this is for the Splatoon session.

Following the Siliconera Splatoon Night, a wrap-up will appear informing everyone of the prior night’s events. Star players will be named, weapon preferences will be noted, and other information will be relayed for everyone unable to play.

Since only seven other people will be able to be in the Splatoon room at a time, and I’ll have to always remain in as host, I’d like to request that everyone please play a maximum of two battles, then leave so others can play. However, after an hour feel free to attempt to rejoin for another two battles, as I’m unsure what kind of response this inaugural event will receive.

Also, if I see a strong response, I’ll do my best to extend the Siliconera Splatoon Night session past 9pm CT. If the room is still full as the end draws near, I’ll see about keeping things going until at least 9:30pm so as many people as possible have a chance to play.
