Jingliu Works Best in Teams with High HP in Honkai: Star Rail

Jingliu is an Ice DPS character in Honkai: Star Rail who greatly benefits from a team that can support her destructive ways. Since she doesn’t need to use her Skill every single turn, she works well with some of the best support characters in the game. Here is a list of teams that you can try running your Jingliu with in Honkai: Star Rail.

Before we begin, let’s quickly summarize how Jingliu works and what role she plays in the team. As a Destruction unit, she is very obviously the DPS. Jingliu can enter the Spectral Transmigration stance when she gets 2 stacks of Syzygy. She obtains a stack every time she uses her Skill or her Ultimate.

In the Spectral Transmigration stance, she can only use her Skill but it doesn’t consume SP. It does consume a percentage of her allies’ HP to boost her ATK. Once she runs out of stacks (she uses up a stack every attack), she reverts to normal. It’s a fairly simple kit. The only complicated thing about it is math. Jingliu consumes 4% of her allies’ Max HP and increases her ATK by 540% of that HP. However, the bonus is capped at a percentage of Jingliu’s ATK. To bring out Jingliu’s max potential, you’ll need to calculate your team’s Max HP and your Jingliu’s Trace to see if she can reach the percentage she needs.

So which characters and teams work well with her? Here are a few examples:

  • Jingliu | Bronya | Tingyun | Huohuo
This is a hyper-carry team in which Tingyun and Huohuo help Jingliu to recover her Energy, and Bronya gives her more turns. You can extend how long Jingliu is in her Transmigration state with her Ultimate. So Tingyun and Huohuo are really helpful for that. I want to note you should ideally have Tingyun at E6 to maximize this team’s performance.
  • Jingliu | Ruan Mei | Silver Wolf | Gepard
This is a mono-Ice team in which Ruan Mei helps to make Jingliu more powerful. You can replace Gepard with another sustain like Lynx or Fu Xuan if you want. Try to keep your sustain either an Ice or a Quantum though. The less types there are, the easier it is for Silver Wolf to plant the Weakness you want. Of course, if you’re fighting someone who already has an Ice Weakness, you can replace both Silver Wolf and Gepard for other characters.
  • Jingliu | Blade | Pela | Fu Xuan
If you think you need to, you can replace Fu Xuan with either Luocha or Lynx. Normally, two Destruction characters don’t work well together. However, Jingliu’s Talent helps give Blade his stacks while Blade’s high Max HP helps Jingliu with hers. Pela can also help to debuff enemies to make the two DPSs hit harder, as well as budget SP.
  • Jingliu | Asta | Trailblazer (Fire) | Lynx
On this team, Asta plays support with her Ultimate while Trailblazer acts as a shielder. Lynx is the healer who can also benefit Jingliu with her ability to raise characters’ Max HP. You can substitute Trailblazer for Gepard if you have him or want. But Trailblazer is easier on your SP reserves than Gepard is and this team will be quite SP hungry.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. You can only pull for Jingliu when the “Gentle Eclipse of the Moon” Character Event Warp is live.
