For players that want a little story to go along with a fighting game, Bandai Namco made J-Adventure Mode for J-Stars Victory Vs. This actually has four different chapters, In Motion Chapter, Hope Chapter, Research Chapter, and Pursuit Chapter. It appears non-playable characters like Kakashi and Sakura will make appearances in the crossover story.
You can’t have a shonen story without a rival, so we expect characters like Madara Uchiha from Naruto and Akainu from One Piece will have key roles in J-Adventure. Freeza from Dragon Ball Z, Hisoka from Hunter X Hunter, Younger Toguro from YuYu Hakusho, Sosuke Aizen from Bleach, and Shishio Makoto from Rurouni Kenshin.
Players can customize the memorial Jump issue world after fulfilling certain requirements.
J-Stars Victory Vs. supports online play on PlayStation 3. Players will be able to choose ranked matches and use voice chat to talk to their teammate. The PlayStation Vita version has online and ad-hoc play.
J-Stars Victory Vs. is slated for release on March 19 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
