The Japanese voice cast for the upcoming anime adaptation of Ishura appeared alongside a new promotional trailer. The anime is based on an ongoing series of Japanese light novels which started publication on June 2017. The series is written by Keiso, with art by Kureta.

The series is set in a fantasy world after the death of its Demon King. Various demigods, also known as shura, are competing for the title of “True Hero.”
Yen Press is handling the English localization and release of the original Ishura light novels. As a reminder, at Anime Expo 2023 Yen Press revealed several new manga, light novels, audiobooks, and manhwa that will be releasing in 2023 and 2024.
The anime adaptation of Ishura is set to release worldwide on January 2024 on Disney+.
