Is There Gundam Breaker 4 Crossplay?

Gundam Breaker 4 is the latest in the Gunpla-centric action series and it comes with plenty of online features for players to enjoy. That said, while this is a modern game, it doesn’t guarantee that Gundam Breaker 4 includes crossplay. Can you play this title with players on other platforms?

Does Gundam Breaker 4 Have Crossplay?

The answer to whether or not this latest Bandai Namco entry in the mech series has crossplay is actually a bit complicated. For the most part, there is no crossplay available whatsoever. What this effectively means is you are unable to play across different consoles and PC that are from different publishers.

For instance, you are unable to play Nintendo Switch alongside PlayStation and vice versa. Sadly, you can’t even play PC with any of the console platforms that are available. So, for the most part, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and PC are unable to play with one another in online multiplayer.

PS4 and PS5 Crossplay Exists

The only form of crossplay that exists currently in Gundam Breaker 4 is between PS4 and its successor console in PS5. Fortunately, you don’t have to do anything to activate this, either. You will automatically connect online to players across both PlayStation consoles when you are playing on either console.

This feature is great since it means you will have the utmost number of possible players on the PlayStation platform. It is a shame that in 2024 none of the other platforms are able to play across with one another, but perhaps this will come later down the road. After all, other Bandai Namco games like Dragon Ball: The Breakers received crossplay for all systems many months after its release.
