The button inputs the game requires are as complicated as the player would like them to be, though, with players able to choose from only directions to the full suite of buttons. The game also allows for button prompts from Xbox controllers, PlayStation controllers, keyboard and dance mats, as well as third party controllers to further customize play.

The game allows for 2-16 player tournaments, made up of online or AI opponents, with matches lasting seconds.

Western Press also features Memory Mode, which tasks players with remembering an ever-increasing string of commands rather than hitting a visible set in order.  It will also support Steam Workshop, letting players mod in their own characters and creations.
