Initial D The Arcade Will Collaborate With Wangan Midnight

This collaboration will primarily add two iconic Wangan Midnight cars, Akio Asakura’s Devil Z (Nissan Fairlady Z) and Tatsuya Shima’s Blackbird (Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6), to the new Initial D arcade game roster in Spring 2021. It will also add customization parts based on both cars, as well as more Wangan Midnight-themed decorations like virtual keychains and a background screen.

In the same stream, Producer Arai also promised that Initial D The Arcade will be available outside Japan around Summer 2021. The prequel Arcade Stage Zero is currently available in South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore. While it is safe to assume that the aforementioned countries and regions will receive The Arcade upgrades, it is currently unknown if Sega will also include more countries.

Initial D The Arcade will receive major updates that regularly add more content, from courses to cars. The first such update, planned for this Summer, will add the Momiji Line and Happogahara courses. It will also add 14 new cars, including the Toyota Supra RZ, Suzuki Cappuccino, and Subaru BRZ S.

Initial D The Arcade will launch in Japanese arcades on February 25, 2021. It will also appear internationally in Summer 2021.
