Japan will get their first game from PlatinumGames on June 11. No, it won’t be bloody MadWorld. Sega is only releasing that in the West for now. Infinite Space will be PlatinumGames’ first domestic release.
Nude Maker, the studio behind Steel Battalion, is developing the space opera RPG where you pilot and create a fleet of spaceships from 150 blueprints. Yuri, the protagonist, starts as a crew member and moves up the ranks to captain, eventually recruiting crewmen for his fleet. Hone your combat skills in story mode and then challenge a friend to a local wireless spaceship duel.
Infinite Space is scheduled for an international release, but Sega USA has not set a specific date. They are localizing a handful of RPGs for the Nintendo DS like Phantasy Star 0 and Sands of Destruction so Infinite Space might not land here until next year.
