Inazuma Eleven Online is the franchise’s first PC title, which was designed to have action and strategic elements that even the older players could get into it. As it turns out, it appears the game hasn’t been doing too well, and will end service soon. [Thanks, Game Jouhou]

Level-5 and NHN PlayArt officially began the service for Inazuma Eleven Online back in June of last year. With the final date of service announced as March 31, the game went on for a little over nine months.

According to the companies, among all the support, feedback, and demand from the fans, Level-5 and NHN PlayArt aimed to fully satisfy fans with ongoing discussions on running the game and careful examination. However, keeping up such as service along with its maintenance, proved to be more difficult than they had expected, which finally resulted in their decision to shut it down, come March.

Fans who have continued playing the game up until now will get special presents and an event, and an update that was expected to bring a character bonds and a group system will be included in an update for February 18.
