A new Yggdra Unison video explains how to trigger Unison Attacks, combination attacks with allied units, on the Nintendo DS. While the controls are different (very different!), the system works just like the mobile phone release.

Originally, players hit 0-9 on their phone to order nearby units to attack. The DS doesn’t have a numeric keypad. Sting could have designed one on the touch screen, but instead of that Yggdra Unison on the DS has number scribbling combat. An interesting solution, but will it work during frantic fights? We’ll find out in December when Yggdra Unison comes out in Japan.
