Years in the making, it’s finally ready for the world to play. Abobo’s Big Adventure is a parody of the NES era starring Abobo, one of the muscleheads in Double Dragon, who is searching for his son, Aboboy.

The game starts out like Double Dragon as a side-scrolling beat ’em up… with goombas and Donkey Kong. By the second level you’re swimming underwater spitting bubbles at Bubbleman and later you’re lost in a labyrinth from The Legend of Zelda. Abobo’s Big Adventure has a big list of enemies and gags to see, so if you’re reading this on a Flash enabled web browser play the game here. Might want to grab a gamepad though since the arrow keys and A/S buttons aren’t the optimum control set up.
